The Wolkberg Trail Run (WTR), hosted by Stanford Lake College, will take place this year on the 5th and 6th of August. It takes place through the magnificent and almost untouched Wolkberg mountain range in the Magoebaskloof region of Limpopo. The WTR made its debut in 2014 and has become a bucket-list event for those who enjoy serious trail running. The signature 2-day Wolkberg Trail Run, consists of a 40km run on Day 1, with over 1820m of climbing that includes summiting the highest point in Limpopo, The Iron Crown; followed by a faster, slightly flatter 25km on Day 2. The second day of the stage race is also open to runners who would prefer just to enter one day only, with 25km and 10km options available.
